Golfe-Juan is the seaside part of Vallauris. It is easy to spend a cultural morning in Vallauris and the afternoon by the water. The Old Port, Camille Rayon marina, sandy beaches and watersports create several different ways to spend the day.
Why is Golfe-Juan linked to Napoleon?
Napoleon landed at Golfe-Juan on 1 March 1815 after leaving Elba. The famous Route Napoléon symbolically begins here before heading inland through Grasse and the Alps.
Can you get around without a car?
Yes. Golfe-Juan has a TER railway station on the coastal line serving Cannes, Antibes, Nice and towns farther east. In summer this can be much easier than parking in busy centres.

Visit Vallauris for Picasso and ceramics, Cannes and the Lérins Islands to the west, or Antibes and Cap d’Antibes to the east.
