What can you see in Saint-Tropez in one day?
Start at the Old Port, continue through the historic lanes and La Ponche, then climb towards the Citadel for views over the gulf. The Annonciade Museum is a useful cultural stop for understanding the town’s relationship with modern painters.
Should you visit on market day?
The Place des Lices market takes place every Tuesday and Saturday morning throughout the year. It is atmospheric but also busy. If you value calm, choose another day or arrive very early.
How can you avoid traffic?
In high season, road traffic around the gulf can be slow. Sea shuttles from Sainte-Maxime are a particularly useful alternative because they avoid part of the congestion and arrive directly in the village centre.
How much time should you allow?
From Port d’Attache, reserve a full day. Saint-Tropez is too far away to treat as a short two-hour outing, and summer transport requires extra margin.
Saint-Tropez or Cannes?
Cannes is much closer to Port d’Attache and can be visited several times during a stay. Saint-Tropez is better treated as a one-off full-day excursion.
